Imagine Busy Days

Thursday through Sunday were busy days. Sorry we have no pictures . . . senior moments happen when we want a picture, but forget the camera. Imagine a big yellow Penske rental van pulling in at 8:30 PM Thursday. Our son-in-law John Perkins arrived with the load of Rose's remaining goods from St. Louis. Imagine the three of us on Friday morning unloading the truck...mostly at the house, but some at Turtle's new church office. Imagine Rose and Turtle seeing and feeling muscles ache that they forgot they had. We dropped off John at the airport at 5:00, met friends for supper at 6:00, and went to a Bible study at 7:30. The bed never felt so good that night. On Saturday imagine the total transformation of the guest bedroom with Rose's bedroom set and then box after box being emptied, and items stored. Imagine getting the house in order and making final preparations to host and teach the church youth group on Saturday night. Imagine a whole day and night of continual rain in Phoenix on Sunday. Imagine Turtle teaching his first adult Bible class and preaching his first message at the new church. Imagine enjoying a huge meal of spaghetti and meat balls with 14 people...at least this was at someone else's house. Imagine watching 100 pictures of India as one of the men at church reported on his mission trip taken last November. The bed felt even better that night! Maybe after all that imagination you will be as tired as Rose and Turtle were, but we enjoyed it, and we hope you did, too

Wow that was one crazy weekend! I wish Mike could have helped you, but he had to work from 5am until 2pm (on his b-day). We celebrated just the 6 of us with pizza, cake and ice cream. We watched the Sun's game too. On Sunday we met the elder Brights for lunch at Applebees and celebrated Linda's b-day. Anna did great. That was her first out to eat adventure. Too bad she couldn't order off the menu, feeding her was an ordeal. I think the whole restaurant was watching! Fun times!!
