Isaiah wrote prophetically, "the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose." Last Saturday we saw evidence of such a time in the White Tanks Mountains on the west side of Phoenix. Most of the year the desert mountains are brown. Yet after some significant rain in January and February . . . and warm temperatures recently, the brown has become green, and the green is a backdrop for beautiful desert flowers. Here are a few of those flowers for your enjoyment . . . though none of them matched my blooming Rose.
