Our trek to the Midwest took us first to Omaha. The first stop was in Sloan to visit John and Danet Ketelsen. That night we made it to Orange City and met Jackson in a pile of leaves. We were thankful that the transition was easy from a Phoenix fall, which had been unseasonably warm to a Northwest Iowa fall, which was also unseasonably warm. This was also one day after Iowa's return to standard time so we only had to make a one hour time adjustment.
