We arrived in Saint Louis just in time to see the fall colors slightly beyond their peak, but still brilliant ... including the last iris of fall. While Rose went shopping with Lindsay, Turtle enjoyed a quiet, leisure time of reading and playing Internet Scrabble on the enclosed back porch while watching the fall weather turn even colder ... and, hurrah, we missed the snow that fell in Iowa.
