More Critters: Diamondbacks and a Bobcat

Turtle took Rose to a major league baseball game last night at Chase Field. It was over 100 outside, but it was a pleasant 76 inside. So with a couple of kosher dogs, a couple of waters, and a bag of salted peanuts, we settled down to an evening of baseball. The first critters Rose saw were diamondbacks crawling all over the field . . . we were safely in the upper deck. Next she saw a huge bobcat named Baxster, who was mischievous but friendly. The diamondbacks prevailed over the pirates due to the venom of diamondback named Webb (win 16). When asked about her experience, Rose remarked, "Seeing it in person rather than on TV is like the contrast between black and white and technicolor (do people still use that word?), because there is so much happening at the stadium besides the game." On our way back to the car, we were greeted by a few sprinkles, and by the time we hit McDonald's for an ice cream cone, we had driven through a drenching downpour....THAT is a treat in Arizona!! It was a wonderful evening, full of new adventures and fun."

Oh, Olivia will be so jealous when she hears you got to see the team of her new favorite player - Dan Heran. You saw where he gave her a batting practice ball, right? I will show her your pictures in the a.m.
