We have not had a real monsoon season for several years, but this year has been different. Our rainfall for this summer is the fourth highest on record, and we have another major storm predicted for tomorrow. An unusual characteristic is that the storms have come in the night. In addition the lightning has not been too spectacular in these storms until this summer with our neighbor's palm tree fire and now with the storm we had Thursday night. While Turtle has not mastered the video component of the camera, at least he knew what he was trying to do on this one. This lightning went on for over an hour non-stop. The shot is aimed ESE toward Scottsdale and Phoenix.

Yes that was quite a show. You'll be amazed when you see some of the pictures Mike was able to get.
